Alps Ski Resort Restaurant Reservations: Courchevel to Zermatt

George Yates · Founder, SeatSwiper · Updated October 27, 2026

How do you get restaurant reservations at Alps ski resorts like Courchevel, Zermatt and Kitzbühel?Check the platform first. 29 of the 46 Alps tables book on SevenRooms, mostly palace hotels and winter outposts like Matsuhisa and Zuma, through each venue’s own page, and many have not loaded winter shifts in late October, so an empty calendar is not a sold-out one. The 17 OpenTable rooms run long rolling books (about 181 days at Brasserie Uno, 151 at Les Deux and Benjamin), so the holidays are bookable now. New dates open at midnight local time, 6pm in New York.

The Alps wall is one list of 46 restaurants in four countries, from Courchevel 1850 and Val d’Isère to Zermatt, Kitzbühel, Lech and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Getting a table starts with one question: which platform? Of the 46, 29 book on SevenRooms and 17 on OpenTable (none on Resy), and in late October the two halves behave so differently that one restaurant shows your ski week open while the next looks empty. Facts are from each venue’s own site as of October 2026; general timing rules are in how far ahead to book dinner for a ski trip.

Two kinds of book: open now, or not until December

The SevenRooms rooms are mostly palace-hotel restaurants and winter outposts of city brands: Matsuhisa, Zuma, Beefbar, Loulou, Kinugawa, Langosteria. SevenRooms has no central marketplace, so each one runs its own book from its own page (how SevenRooms works). Almost none publish a window, and in late October many still describe last winter: Loulou Courchevel’s page gives its December 5, 2025 opening, Beefbar Courchevel lists last season’s dates, and the Airelles rooms say only “Reopening Winter 2026.” An empty calendar now usually means the shifts are not loaded, not that the season sold out. Zuma is the exception: its Kitzbühel, Gstaad and Cortina pages say they open December 4, 2026, with reservations available now.

The OpenTable rooms run long rolling books that are already live. As of October 2026, Brasserie Uno’s runs about 181 days ahead, Les Deux Kitzbühel’s and Benjamin’s about 151, Kaito’s about 121, a cluster of Swiss and Tyrolean rooms about 90, and Pfeffermühle in Kirchberg in Tirol a full year. None publishes a release hour, so each new date switches on at midnight local time. A 151-day book already reaches late March, which puts the holidays and February on sale today; more in how OpenTable releases tables.

The crunch weeks, and the clock

Two stretches carry the season. First the holiday fortnight: French schools are off from December 19, 2026 to January 4, 2027, Christmas Day is a Friday and New Year’s Eve a Thursday, and some rooms switch to set menus (see Christmas and New Year’s ski-town reservations). Then February, when France staggers its winter school holiday across three zones: Paris goes first (February 6 to 22, 2027), then the zone with Lyon and Grenoble (February 13 to March 1), then the rest (February 20 to March 8): five straight weeks of French family demand. Kitzbühel adds Hahnenkamm race week, January 18 to 24, 2027.

The clock is Central European Time, six hours ahead of New York for nearly the whole season (five from March 14 to 28, 2027, when US clocks have changed and Europe’s have not). A new OpenTable date at midnight in Zermatt appears at 6pm the evening before in New York. Dinner hours split by country: the French palace rooms run late (Kinugawa until 2am, Loulou’s dinner until 11pm), while Griggeler Stuba seats its last table at 7:45pm and Neuwirt closes at 9pm, which matters after a late last run.

How to work this wall

Full disclosure: SeatSwiper is my product. Everything in this guide works without it. The last section explains where it helps and exactly what it costs.

Letting software do the watching

Most of this wall is two waiting games: the day a SevenRooms room loads its winter shifts, and the hour a held holiday table is let go. SeatSwiper watches SevenRooms or OpenTable around the clock for the restaurant, dates and party size you pick, and books the table when one appears, on your own account and in your name, so nothing is resold or transferred. Your first booking is free, then a flat $5, charged only when it actually books the table, with no subscription; a cancellation watch costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins even if no table opens. It works on Resy, SevenRooms and OpenTable only, needs your reservation account connected, can lose the race on a small prepaid room, and is never a guarantee.

FAQ

When do Courchevel restaurants open reservations for the winter?

Most of Courchevel’s hard tables are SevenRooms rooms inside palace hotels, and almost none publish a booking window. In late October 2026 several pages still showed last winter’s dates (Loulou, Beefbar) or only “Reopening Winter 2026” (the Airelles restaurants), so an empty calendar usually means the winter shifts are not loaded yet. Check each venue’s own page from November and book as soon as this season’s dates appear.

How do you get a reservation at Le 1947 in Courchevel?

Le 1947, Yannick Alléno’s three-Michelin-star room at Cheval Blanc, serves dinner only, Wednesday to Sunday from 7:30pm to 9pm, and its page says it receives a limited number of diners each evening. It recommends booking by email and also runs a SevenRooms book. With two closed nights a week, a Wednesday or Thursday is the realistic target.

How far ahead can you book Brasserie Uno in Zermatt?

As of October 2026 its OpenTable book runs about 181 days ahead, with each new date appearing at midnight Zermatt time, so the whole winter is already open. The restaurant says it is closed until December 8, seats two services Tuesday to Saturday, and treats all sales as final and non-refundable, allowing one date change at least 48 hours ahead.

What time do Alps restaurant reservations open for someone booking from the US?

The Alps run on Central European Time, six hours ahead of New York for most of the season and five hours from March 14 to 28, 2027. OpenTable rooms there add each new date at midnight local time, which is 6pm the previous evening in New York and 3pm in California.

When is it hardest to book dinner in the Alps?

Christmas to New Year (French schools are off December 19, 2026 to January 4, 2027), then the February school holidays, which France staggers across three zones from February 6 to March 8, 2027. In Kitzbühel, Hahnenkamm race week, January 18 to 24, 2027, is its own crunch.
