Start a Park City watchPark City has two dining scenes that book in completely different ways. Main Street’s most wanted independent rooms take reservations on Resy and say little about when their dates open. The St. Regis and Montage restaurants up at Deer Valley run their books on SevenRooms, through each hotel’s own reservation page. In between sit the OpenTable rooms, which show exactly how far ahead they reach and are the easiest part of town to plan. This guide covers Main Street, Deer Valley and Kimball Junction as of October 2026, using what each restaurant states on its own site.
Main Street is a Resy town, and Resy here keeps its windows quiet
The two tables Park City wants most, Riverhorse on Main and Firewood, both book on Resy, and so do Handle and Glitretind. That puts four of the ten most sought-after rooms on one app, which is unusual for a mountain town. What Resy does not give you here is a shared opening hour. There is no 10am scramble like New York’s, and most of these rooms publish no window at all. Riverhorse is the exception: its reservations page says it books up to 60 days ahead, which put Christmas Eve on the calendar on October 25 and puts New Year’s Eve there on November 1. For the others, check the Resy page a few times across the week your date should appear rather than trusting a number someone posted. The Resy release-time guide explains how to read a venue’s calendar edge when the restaurant will not tell you.

Start a Park City watchDeer Valley’s two big hotels run on SevenRooms
Up the hill the system changes. RIME at The St. Regis and Apex at Montage Deer Valley take reservations on SevenRooms, through booking pages the hotels run themselves, and the sister rooms (La Stellina at the St. Regis, Yama Sushi at Montage) do the same. Not every lodge does: Glitretind at Stein Eriksen is on Resy and The Hirsch on OpenTable. RIME’s booking link opens a page that lists La Stellina alongside it, so pick the right venue before you pick a time. Neither hotel publishes a booking window, and in October and November SevenRooms calendars often show no winter shifts at all, because the season’s book is not loaded yet. An empty Deer Valley calendar this early usually means “not open yet”, not “sold out”. The SevenRooms explainer covers how these books differ.
The OpenTable rooms you can actually put in a calendar
These are the windows OpenTable showed for each restaurant in October 2026, and the dates they translate into for the 2026 to 2027 season. All times are Mountain.
- Fireside Dining, about 181 days. Long enough that every night of the coming season is already open. The only question is whether your night is still free.
- Grappa and Twisted Fern, about 90 days. MLK Saturday (January 16) has been bookable since October 18. Presidents’ Day Saturday (February 13) opens on November 15.
- Yuki Yama, about 60 days at 9:00am. The only published hour on the wall. New Year’s Eve opens on November 1 at 9:00am local time.
- Tupelo and Courchevel Bistro, about 42 days. Christmas Eve opens on November 12 and New Year’s Eve on November 19.

Fourteen Park City tables, in the order they are fought over
- Riverhorse on Main (Resy, Main Street). A second-floor dining room in one of Main Street’s oldest restaurants, with a long run of Forbes Four-Star ratings. Its own page sets the rules: 60 days ahead, online bookings for up to six, and groups over nine handled case by case. Its fine print adds that Resy sends confirmation texts 48 and 24 hours out, and a reservation nobody confirms may be cancelled. Book Riverhorse on Main with SeatSwiper
- Firewood (Resy, Main Street). John Murcko’s kitchen cooks the whole nightly menu over wood in an old industrial room. The site publishes no window but is precise about the cutoff: cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice and the card is charged $75 a person, and tables are held only 10 minutes past the booked time. Book Firewood with SeatSwiper
- RIME (SevenRooms, Deer Valley). The St. Regis seafood and steak room: crudo, prime cuts, and a chef’s counter running a five- or seven-course tasting. No window is published, so watch the hotel’s booking page from late autumn. Book RIME with SeatSwiper
- Handle (Resy, Heber Avenue). Seasonal cooking from local farms, a step off Main Street, open daily from 5pm. The bar and the chef’s counter are kept for walk-ins, which makes it the most realistic top table to get without a booking. Arrive at opening. Book Handle with SeatSwiper
- Fireside Dining (OpenTable, Empire Canyon Lodge, Deer Valley). A four-course Alpine dinner, raclette included, served from stone fireplaces in a ski lodge. Deer Valley says reservations are required. Its phone line opens November 2, weekdays 9am to 5pm Mountain, and the horse-drawn sleigh ride is reserved by phone. Book Fireside Dining with SeatSwiper
- Apex (SevenRooms, Montage Deer Valley). The ski-in, ski-out dining room with fireplaces and big glass. The outdoor Alpenglobes are a separate booking: 90 minutes in an enclosed, heated globe, and Montage requires a reservation for them in winter. If the dining room is full, ask about a globe. Book Apex with SeatSwiper
- The Hirsch (OpenTable, Goldener Hirsch, Deer Valley). The inn’s rebuilt restaurant, mixing old signature dishes with newer alpine plates. Auberge lists it as closed for the season until December 1, 2026, which is why OpenTable showed no window in October. Expect dates to appear close to reopening. Book The Hirsch with SeatSwiper
- Yuki Yama (OpenTable, Main Street). Sushi with fish flown in from the West Coast and Japan. Its site says bookings open 60 days ahead, online only through OpenTable, with a card required and no reservations by phone. OpenTable opens each new date at 9:00am Mountain. Book Yuki Yama with SeatSwiper
- Grappa (OpenTable, top of Main Street). Long-running fine-dining Italian. A 90-day book with no release hour, so new dates are simply there each morning. Book Grappa with SeatSwiper
- Glitretind (Resy, Stein Eriksen Lodge). The lodge dining room over Deer Valley’s slopes, with sommelier pairings and a well-known Sunday brunch. No published window. On a holiday weekend, check brunch as well as dinner. Book Glitretind with SeatSwiper
- Tupelo (OpenTable, near Park City Mountain). Matt Harris cooks from Utah farms and the restaurant’s own micro farm in Midway. Dinner runs Wednesday to Sunday only, so two nights a week are not an option, and the book reaches about 42 days. Book Tupelo with SeatSwiper
- Twisted Fern (OpenTable, Snow Creek Drive). Adam Ross’s New American room, open for dinner nightly, away from the Main Street crowds. Its 90-day book is one of the deeper ones in town. Book Twisted Fern with SeatSwiper
- Courchevel Bistro (OpenTable, Main and Heber). Talisker Club’s public French bistro in the old Coal and Lumber building. Its site says service stopped on October 23 and resumes December 8, and as of October 27 its 42-day book reaches exactly that reopening night. Book Courchevel Bistro with SeatSwiper
- Hearth and Hill (Resy, Kimball Junction). Brooks Kirchheimer’s open kitchen and cocktail bar at the I-80 end of town, for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The patio is first come, first served. Parties of six or more need a card, and cancelling inside two hours costs $25 a person. Book Hearth and Hill with SeatSwiper
Late January, now that Sundance has left
For years the Sundance Film Festival was the stretch Park City restaurants planned around. The 2026 festival, January 22 to February 1, was the last one held here. From 2027 it moves to Boulder, Colorado, as KPCW and NPR reported. That takes away the festival days when film crowds filled Main Street’s tables. Late January 2027 will still be ski season, and MLK weekend (January 16 to 18) still falls just before it, so do not expect empty rooms. But the old advice to avoid that week, or book it a season ahead, no longer holds. Holiday weekends are the pressure points now, and the holiday-weekend guide covers them.
When Park City tables come back
The cutoffs above tell you when to look. Riverhorse may charge a late fee from noon the day before, and its confirmation texts go out 48 and 24 hours ahead, so unconfirmed or cancelled tables tend to come back one or two days before the date. Firewood’s 48-hour line pushes its returns about two days out. Hearth and Hill’s two-hour cutoff for big groups means a large table can open almost at the last minute. Over Christmas week, when every date is booked well ahead, these short windows are often the only way in; the holiday-week guide and how cancellation policies work explain the timing.
Letting software watch the edge
Watching three platforms and a dozen release patterns for one week of dinners is what SeatSwiper is for. Tell it the Park City table, your dates and party size. It books the moment one opens, whether that is Yuki Yama’s next date at 9:00am, a Riverhorse table someone failed to confirm, or a Deer Valley SevenRooms calendar going live for the winter. It books on your own Resy, SevenRooms or OpenTable account, in your name, so nothing is resold or transferred. Your first booking is free, then a flat $5 only when it actually books the table, with no subscription, and a cancellation watch costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins. It only works on those three platforms, it needs your reservation account connected, and on a small counter it can lose the race to someone faster. It is not a guarantee.
FAQ
How far in advance should you book Park City restaurants for a ski trip?
It depends on the restaurant’s own window. As of October 2026, Riverhorse on Main says 60 days on Resy, Yuki Yama 60 days on OpenTable, Grappa and Twisted Fern run about 90 days, and Fireside Dining at Deer Valley about 181 days. Book on the day your date first appears; for New Year’s Eve at a 60-day room that is November 1.
What time does Yuki Yama release reservations?
Its own site says bookings open 60 days ahead, online only through OpenTable, with no phone reservations and a card required. As of October 2026 its OpenTable schedule opens each new date at 9:00am Mountain time.
Is Sundance still in Park City?
No. The 2026 festival, January 22 to February 1, was the last one held in Park City, and it moves to Boulder, Colorado from 2027. Late January is still ski season, but the festival crunch that used to fill Main Street restaurants is gone.
Why can’t I find Deer Valley restaurant reservations in October?
The St. Regis and Montage rooms, including RIME and Apex, book on SevenRooms through each hotel’s own page, and SevenRooms calendars often stay empty until the winter shifts are loaded close to the season. Some rooms also close for autumn: The Hirsch reopens December 1, 2026. An empty calendar this early usually means not open yet, not sold out.
Which Park City restaurants take walk-ins?
Handle keeps its bar and chef’s counter for walk-ins, and the Hearth and Hill patio is first come, first served. Arriving right at opening gives you the best chance.
