One White Street Reservations (NYC): Resy, 29 Days Out at Midnight

George Yates · Founder, SeatSwiper · Updated November 2, 2026

How do you get a reservation at One White Street in NYC?One White Street, in a 19th-century townhouse at 1 White Street in Tribeca, books every table on Resy; its site links no Tock page. It does not publish a window, but trackers AutoRes and Reservation Booker both say 29 days out at midnight Eastern. Without a booking, try the first-floor bar near the 5pm open, Sunday to Thursday; its Resy listing says walk-ins are taken nightly.

One White Street fills a 19th-century townhouse at 1 White Street, on the corner of West Broadway in Tribeca, a building the Michelin Guide describes as “once the downtown hangout for John Lennon and Yoko Ono.” It opened in 2021, cooks largely from its own Rigor Hill Farm in Columbia County, and runs an à la carte menu and a tasting menu under one roof. Most of what ranks for one white street reservations was written in the opening years, and the restaurant has moved on since: chef Austin Johnson, who opened it, left in August 2025; the tasting menu has changed length and price more than once; and the floor-by-floor rules people repeat come from a 2021 article and no longer apply. Here is how the book works as of November 2026.

Is One White Street on Resy or Tock?

Resy, for all of it. Checked on November 1, 2026, every booking link on onewhitestreetnyc.com, from the homepage, the menu pages, the contact page and the FAQ, goes to the restaurant’s Resy page, and the homepage says it plainly: “Book your One White Street reservation on Resy.” The site links no Tock page and no separate prepaid book for the tasting menu, which is the question people ask, because a lot of tasting rooms at this price sell tickets somewhere else. The only other outside link is Toast, and that is for gift cards.

Within Resy, the inventory is split into seating types. A listing site that mirrors Resy’s data shows seven: standard tables, outdoor, heated outdoor, counter seats, bar seats, tasting menu and à la carte. If 7:30pm looks gone, look again by type before you give up on the night. The menu label on the slot matters less than you would think, because the restaurant’s FAQ says: “You are absolutely able to decide which menu you would like to enjoy once you arrive. We just ask that everyone in the party selects the same menu.” So book the time you want and settle the menu at the table.

When do One White Street reservations open?

The restaurant does not say. Its FAQ covers corkage, cancellations and large groups and is silent on when dates go live, and nothing on the site states a window. Two trackers agree, though: AutoRes says One White Street releases tables on Resy 29 days out at midnight Eastern, and Reservation Booker lists “29 days in advance at 12:00 AM.” Treat that as the trackers’ number rather than the restaurant’s rule, and confirm it once.

Here is the date math for a real night. Say you want dinner on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Twenty-nine days back is Friday, November 13, so the moment is midnight as Thursday, November 12 turns into Friday the 13th. If December 12 is on the calendar then, the count is exact. If the calendar stops at December 11, Resy is counting today as the first day, and your date opens at midnight the following night. The cheap way to settle this before it matters is to open the Resy page on an ordinary afternoon, move forward until dates stop being selectable, and count from today.

How hard is One White Street to book?

Less hard than its reputation, on most nights. As of November 2026 the tracker AutoRes rates its success at One White Street High, with over 75 percent of requests filled, and the restaurant’s popularity Low, in the bottom third of its New York list by requests. That fits the building: a first-floor bar, dining rooms upstairs, a chef’s counter on the third floor and a patio add up to a lot of seats for a restaurant at this level. The pressure is narrow. Friday and Saturday between 7pm and 8pm, parties of four, and the weeks before the holidays are where you will feel the 29-day window. A 5pm or 5:30pm table, or any night from Sunday to Thursday, faces much less competition.

Which floor is which, and does it still matter?

Not any more, by the restaurant’s own account. Older guides describe a strict split. Resy’s opening article in July 2021 put an à la carte wine bar and the patio on the ground floor, walk-in only, and a $148 tasting menu on the second and third floors by reservation. The Infatuation’s 2023 review had “a nine-course $188 tasting menu” on the top two floors, and Resy’s November 2025 guide still described “a more casual, à la carte restaurant” downstairs with the tasting menu upstairs. The homepage now says the opposite: “Both menus are now available across all three floors of the townhouse.” The FAQ agrees seat by seat. The bar seats are on the first floor and “offer a more traditional bar experience,” the chef’s counter is on the third floor, “where you can watch the kitchen prepare dishes in front of you,” and “Both are able to accommodate our tasting & à la carte menus.” If you care which room you sit in, book the matching seating type or call (646) 398-7679.

The menus and prices, as of November 2026

The homepage calls the tasting “a six-course chef’s tasting menu, showcasing the best of the season,” served seven days a week. The tasting page, checked November 1, 2026, lists it at $125 a person, with a $95 wine pairing, a $225 reserve pairing, and two optional courses at $30 a person each, aged hiramasa and osetra caviar. The menu posted on November 1 ran through potato agnolotti in mussel broth with poached cod and a duck breast with duck consommé to a sarsaparilla semifreddo. The price is well below the figures still circulating, $188 in 2023 and $178 in Resy’s 2025 guide, and the site says the menu is “subject to change based on seasonal availability,” so read the current page before you budget.

The à la carte menu on the same day ran from Rigor Hill sourdough with cultured butter at $16 to a 24oz dry-aged ribeye at $90, with the 1WS cheeseburger at $32, Montauk black bass at $45 and duck confit at $55. Chef Galen Kennemer runs the kitchen now, per the Michelin Guide’s listing and Resy’s 2025 coverage, and Suzanne DeStio is the wine director. Corkage is $75 per 750ml bottle, up to four bottles. Resy’s September 2025 BYOB roundup said Monday nights were $10, but the current FAQ does not mention it, so ask before you carry a bottle in on that basis.

One more thing older pages get wrong is the star. One White Street earned a Michelin star in 2022 and a Green Star, for sustainability, in 2024, per Tribeca Citizen. Michelin’s list of New York stars published November 18, 2025 includes it among the Green Star restaurants but not among the one-star restaurants, so pages calling it Michelin-starred are describing an earlier guide. The next New York selection is due at Michelin’s ceremony on December 14, 2026.

Does One White Street take walk-ins?

The restaurant’s own site sets out no walk-in policy as of November 2026. The description on its Resy listing says tables are offered each night both by reservation and to walk-ins, while recommending a booking, and the first-floor bar is the part of the house built for an unplanned visit. The realistic play is one or two people at the 5pm open, Sunday to Thursday, asking for the bar. The outdoor tables are another option (the FAQ says they are “partially covered by an awning” and that the restaurant will get in touch if bad weather is forecast), with a caveat from the Resy listing that a move indoors cannot be guaranteed if the weather turns. Other downtown rooms that keep seats for the door are in NYC hard restaurants that take walk-ins.

Hours, party size and the fine print

The contact page lists Sunday through Thursday, 5pm to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday, 5pm to 10pm. The homepage banner reads “SUNDAY-MONDAY,” which looks like a typo, since the contact page and the Michelin listing both give Sunday to Thursday. With a 9pm close on most nights, the last seatings come early.

Five is the most for an ordinary booking. In the FAQ’s words, “Parties of 6 or more are considered a large group reservation which has a food and beverage minimum spend of $2,500,” with a choice of tasting, prix fixe or family-style menus. The cancellation rule: “Please cancel your reservation with at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged a cancellation fee.” The FAQ does not give the amount, so read it on the Resy screen before you confirm. There is no formal dress code; the FAQ says some guests dress up for an occasion and others keep it casual.

Cancellations and the 24-hour line

That rule shapes when tables come back. With a fee inside 24 hours, anyone giving up a table has a reason to do it before that line, so the useful time to look is the day before, in the hours leading up to your dinner time. That is a reading of the fee, not something the restaurant publishes. Anything that reappears goes back onto the same Resy calendar for whoever confirms first, and Resy’s Notify alert reaches everyone waiting on that date at once, which is why it so often arrives after the table has gone; the mechanics are in why Resy Notify rarely works.

If One White Street is full, Frenchette is on the same stretch of West Broadway and books separately, on SevenRooms; its guide is how to get a reservation at Frenchette. For how both compare with the rest of the city, see the hardest restaurants to book in NYC.

Full disclosure: SeatSwiper is my product. Everything in this guide works without it. The last section explains where it helps and exactly what it costs.

Watching One White Street’s Resy page

Every route to a One White Street table other than the bar comes down to being on its Resy page the moment a table exists: midnight on the night your date opens, if the trackers have the window right, or the unscheduled minute when someone cancels ahead of the 24-hour line. SeatSwiper watches Resy, SevenRooms and OpenTable, and One White Street books entirely on Resy, so one watch covers the release and the cancellations after it, whichever floor the table is on. Give it your dates and party size, set it once, and it books the table the moment one opens or someone cancels. It books on your own Resy account, in your name, for your own dinner, and nothing is resold or transferred. It can’t get your account banned, because it books on your own account and checks every few minutes, never nonstop. The first booking is free. After that it is a flat $5, charged only when it actually books the table, with no subscription. A cancellation watch on a date that is already full costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins even if no table ever opens; that $1 is not covered by the free first booking and is not refunded, and the same $5 applies if the watch wins you the table. The honest limits: it only works on those three platforms, it needs your Resy login to book in your name, it can lose a race for a single table, and it cannot stand at the bar at 5pm or hold a seat there for you. The restaurant’s own cancellation fee also applies to any table booked in your name, so only watch dates you will actually use.

FAQ

When do One White Street reservations open?

The restaurant does not publish its window. As of November 2026, two trackers, AutoRes and Reservation Booker, both say tables open on Resy 29 days in advance at midnight Eastern. For Saturday, December 12, 2026, that means midnight as Thursday, November 12 turns into Friday the 13th. Check the last selectable date on Resy once to confirm the count.

Is One White Street on Resy or Tock?

Resy. As of November 2026 every booking link on onewhitestreetnyc.com goes to its Resy page, and the site links no Tock page or separate prepaid book for the tasting menu. The homepage says both menus are now served on all three floors, and the FAQ lets you choose tasting or à la carte once you arrive, as long as everyone in the party orders the same one.

Does One White Street take walk-ins?

Its own site does not set out a policy, but the description on its Resy listing says tables are offered nightly both by reservation and to walk-ins. The first-floor bar is the place to try: arrive near the 5pm open as one or two, Sunday to Thursday. Outdoor tables are partly covered by an awning, but indoor seating is not guaranteed if the weather turns.

Can SeatSwiper get me a table at One White Street?

It can watch One White Street, because the restaurant books on Resy, one of the three platforms SeatSwiper watches along with SevenRooms and OpenTable. Set your dates and party size once and it books on your own Resy account when a table appears at the midnight release or someone cancels. It needs your Resy login, can lose a race for a single table, and cannot hold a bar seat.
