Roscioli NYC Reservations: SevenRooms (Not Resy), 14 Days at 10am

George Yates · Founder, SeatSwiper · Updated October 31, 2026

How do you get a reservation at Roscioli in NYC?Roscioli NYC, at 43 MacDougal Street in SoHo, books on SevenRooms through its own website, not Resy. The restaurant does not publish its window, but trackers AutoRes and SnagRes say tables open 14 days ahead at 10am Eastern, which matched the calendar on October 31, 2026. Weekend lunch, 5pm and late tables are easiest. The site states no walk-in policy; if you try, arrive at the 5pm open.

Roscioli is the New York branch of the Roman family behind Salumeria Roscioli, the Campo de’ Fiori deli whose carbonara people plan trips around. The New York room sits at 43 MacDougal Street, on the corner of King Street at the SoHo end of MacDougal. It opened in 2023 as a partnership between the family, Rimessa Roscioli partner Alessandro Pepe and New York restaurateur Ariel Arce, per Resy’s preview that July, and Time Out named it the best Italian restaurant in New York for 2025. Its booking rules have changed more than once since, so much of what ranks for Roscioli NYC reservations describes a restaurant that no longer works that way. This guide covers the book as of October 2026: the platform, the window and the hour, what became of the downstairs tasting room, and the tables that are easier than they look.

Is Roscioli NYC on Resy, SevenRooms or OpenTable?

SevenRooms. Both booking links on rosciolinyc.com open Roscioli’s SevenRooms page, and the old rosciolinyc.com/reserve-now address now redirects there too. The confusion is historical. When Roscioli opened it was on Resy, listed as two venues, a tasting-menu room and an à la carte room, and Resy’s own guide, “How to Get Into Roscioli in New York,” last updated in June 2024, still describes that setup from the first page of Google. The line tracker damnlines repeats it: Resy, 30 days out at 10am. I could not find a dated announcement of the move, but the restaurant’s own links and every current tracker point to SevenRooms.

Two other doors exist. Roscioli has an OpenTable listing, and The Infatuation’s April 2026 review offers to book it there, but the restaurant’s note on that listing, as it appears in search results, sends people back to rosciolinyc.com for the full inventory. Time Out also reported in November 2025 that Roscioli had launched bookings inside the DoorDash app (DoorDash bought SevenRooms that June). If one app shows nothing, check the SevenRooms page before you give up. One more trap: the top Google result for this search is often a SevenRooms link to a ticketed truffle dinner, not the regular dinner calendar. How SevenRooms rooms differ from Resy and OpenTable is in SevenRooms hidden reservations.

When do Roscioli reservations open? 14 days out at 10am

Roscioli’s website does not state its window. Two trackers do, and they agree. AutoRes says Roscioli releases reservations 14 days in advance at 10am Eastern, and SnagRes, updated October 30, 2026, says “Dates open 14 days ahead at 10 AM.” I checked the SevenRooms calendar for a table for two at about 6am on Saturday, October 31. The last date with bookable times was Friday, November 13, thirteen days out. From Saturday the 14th onward, every time showed only as a request, which goes to the restaurant to accept or not and is not a booking. That is what a 14-day window at 10am looks like four hours early: November 14 was the date due to go live that morning. The 30-day figure elsewhere belongs to the Resy era.

Here is the date math for a real night. Say you want dinner on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Fourteen days back is Saturday, November 28, the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, so be on the SevenRooms page at 10am Eastern that morning. If December 12 has appeared, the count is exact. If the calendar ends on the 11th, the window is a day shorter than the trackers say, and your date opens at 10am on Sunday the 29th. The low-stakes way to learn the count: open the page any afternoon, move the calendar to the last date with real times, and count from today. One date opens each morning, so missing a 10am costs you one night, not a month.

Upstairs or downstairs: what happened to the tasting room?

When Roscioli opened, its two floors were nearly two restaurants. Resy’s July 2023 preview described a 40-seat tasting-menu room downstairs, with seatings at 6pm and 8:30pm and reservations only, and upstairs, beside the alimentari (the deli counter and shop), “a no-reservation 40-seat à la carte wine bar and restaurant.” By Resy’s 2024 update the à la carte side took reservations too.

As a booking matter, that split is gone. The menu on the restaurant’s site, dated May 15, 2026, is an à la carte menu with an optional set meal, The Roscioli Feast at $110, plus $55 for the wine pairing: four courses, family style, for people who “can’t decide,” dinner only. The Infatuation’s April 2026 review covered both floors with no required tasting menu, though it noted “five burrata dishes upstairs, and one downstairs,” so the rooms still differ a little. It reached the cave-like downstairs by “a metal staircase that borders on treacherous” and liked the upstairs alimentari even more, especially at lunch. The SevenRooms page offered two seating types, Counter Seating and Table Seating, not a choice of floor. If the room matters, say so in the booking notes.

Does Roscioli take walk-ins?

Possibly, but the restaurant does not say. As of October 2026 its website has no walk-in policy and no New York phone number at all, only an email address, ciao@rosciolinyc.com. The most recent dated word is Resy’s 2024 guide, which said the à la carte room took walk-ins alongside reservations, and damnlines still quotes an older line about a limited walk-in waitlist before 5pm. Treat both as history, not policy. If you want to try, the odds are best at the 5pm open on a Tuesday or Wednesday, as one or two people, asking about the counter. Do not build a birthday dinner around it.

Hours, weekend lunch and the easier tables

The site lists dinner Tuesday through Sunday, 5pm to 10:45pm, lunch on Saturday and Sunday only, 11:30am to 2pm, and closed on Mondays. Some listings disagree (Time Out’s review page shows Monday dinner, and The Infatuation mentions Friday lunch), but the SevenRooms calendar sides with the site: no Monday times at all, and lunch only on weekends.

The calendar also shows where the slack is. On October 31, the weeknights already released had mostly lost 6pm to 8pm, offered only as requests, while 5pm to 5:45pm and the later seatings up to 10:30pm still had bookable tables. On Friday, November 13, the requests ran from 6pm to 9:15pm. Each slot is listed at 105 minutes, so a 5pm table runs to about 6:45pm. Weekend lunch was easiest of all: on Saturday, November 7, a week out, nothing at dinner was bookable before 9:30pm, and then only at the counter, while lunch still had counter and table times from 11:30am to 1:45pm. Sunday lunch looked the same. The menu keeps a short lunch-only box (eggplant parmigiana, a pasta of the day, a veal Milanese).

Party size, the card and the $50 fee

On a Tuesday in November, SevenRooms offered bookable times for parties of two and four, and only requests for five or six; counter seats appeared for two but not for four. For anything larger, the restaurant’s FAQ says to email ciao@rosciolinyc.com, and its private-dining page lists three spaces: the wine cellar for 14 to 20, the alimentari, which seats 30 or hosts up to 40, and the downstairs dining room for 35 to 50. SevenRooms takes a card to hold a booking, and the policy shown with every time reads: “Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours incur a $50 per person fee.” For four people that is $200 for a late change of plans, so book the number you will actually bring.

What to order at Roscioli NYC

The May 2026 menu puts the four Roman pastas side by side, each with the house Roscioli pepper blend: carbonara on rigatoni with guanciale, egg and pecorino ($32), amatriciana on mezze maniche ($34), cacio e pepe on tagliolini ($29) and gricia on spaghettoni ($31). The burrata is made in New Haven, Connecticut, by small dairy artisans following an Italian recipe, and comes topped four ways from $25 to $33. The Infatuation counted “approximately 21 pieces of perfectly al dente mezzi rigatoni” in its carbonara and called the tiramisu “about 87% whipped cream, and all the better for it.”

Cancellations, and where else to try

Across a two-week window, cancellations are the bigger door. A returned table reappears on the same SevenRooms calendar and goes to whoever confirms first, often a single two-top. The $50 a head fee gives people a reason to cancel before the 24-hour line rather than after it, so the day before your date, around the hour you want to eat, is a sensible moment to look again. That is a reading of the fee, not something the restaurant publishes. If Roscioli stays full, the nearest comparable pasta rooms are Via Carota in the West Village and Torrisi in NoLita, and the hardest restaurants to book in NYC guide shows where all three sit against the rest of the city.

Full disclosure: SeatSwiper is my product. Everything in this guide works without it. The last section explains where it helps and exactly what it costs.

Watching Roscioli’s SevenRooms calendar

Every route to a Roscioli dinner table comes down to being on its SevenRooms page in the moment a table exists: 10am on the morning your date opens, or the unscheduled minute when someone gives back a Friday. SeatSwiper watches SevenRooms, Resy and OpenTable, and Roscioli books on SevenRooms, so one watch covers the 10am release and the cancellations after it. Set your dates and party size once and it books the table the moment one opens or someone cancels, even if you are in a meeting at 10am. It books on your own SevenRooms account, in your name, for your own dinner, and nothing is resold or transferred. It can’t get your account banned, because it books on your own account and checks every few minutes, never nonstop. The first booking is free. After that it is a flat $5, charged only when it actually books the table, with no subscription. A cancellation watch on a date that is already full costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins even if no table ever opens; that $1 is not covered by the free first booking and is not refunded, and the same $5 applies if the watch wins you the table. The honest limits: it only works on those three platforms, it needs your SevenRooms login to book in your name, it can lose a race for a single table, and it cannot wait at the door at 5pm or hold a counter seat for you.

FAQ

Is Roscioli NYC on Resy or SevenRooms?

SevenRooms. As of October 2026 both booking links on rosciolinyc.com open Roscioli’s SevenRooms page. It was on Resy when it opened in 2023, and Resy’s 2024 guide and some trackers still describe that era, including a 30-day window. Roscioli also has an OpenTable listing and takes bookings through DoorDash’s app, but the restaurant’s own link goes to SevenRooms, so start there.

When do Roscioli NYC reservations open?

Fourteen days ahead at 10am Eastern, according to the trackers AutoRes and SnagRes; the restaurant’s own site does not state it. On the morning of October 31, 2026, before 10am, the last bookable date on SevenRooms was November 13, which fits that rule. For Saturday, December 12, be on the SevenRooms page at 10am on Saturday, November 28.

Does Roscioli NYC take walk-ins?

The restaurant does not say. As of October 2026 its website lists no walk-in policy and no New York phone number, only ciao@rosciolinyc.com. Resy’s 2024 guide said the à la carte room took walk-ins as well as reservations, but treat that as history. If you try, arrive at the 5pm open on a weeknight as one or two. Weekend lunch, 11:30am to 2pm, had open tables a week out in late October 2026.

What is Roscioli NYC’s cancellation fee?

Its SevenRooms policy, as of October 2026, reads: “Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours incur a $50 per person fee.” A card is taken when you book. Online booking covered parties of two and four when checked; five or six showed only requests, and the restaurant’s FAQ asks large groups to email ciao@rosciolinyc.com.
