Watch Le Café Louis Vuitton for meLe Café Louis Vuitton is the restaurant on the fourth floor of the Louis Vuitton store at 6 East 57th Street, the brand’s flagship just off Fifth Avenue. It opened in November 2024 as Louis Vuitton’s first restaurant in the United States, with Stephen Starr (Pastis, Le Coucou) as partner, and Starr Restaurants still runs it. Despite the name, it is a full dining room, not a coffee counter: Resy’s opening rundown counted 60 seats plus six at the bar, and Resy put it on its September 2026 list of the toughest reservations in New York. This guide covers how it books as of November 2026: the platform, the midnight release and how to count it, the $50 fee, party sizes, the bar, and a worked date.
Is Le Café Louis Vuitton on Resy?
Yes, and only Resy. The Book A Table button on lecafelvnyc.com, the café’s own site, opens its Resy page, and the site’s group-dining section says it plainly: “Parties of 8 guests or less are booked online via Resy.” There is no SevenRooms or OpenTable listing to fall back on. You do not need to be shopping in the store to eat there; Starr told Resy at the opening that the room was meant for everyone, not only Louis Vuitton customers. Its Resy calendar is split into three services: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
SeatSwiper books it in your name the moment a table opens or someone cancels. First booking free.
Watch Le Café Louis Vuitton for meWhen do Le Café Louis Vuitton reservations open?
At midnight Eastern, 28 days out, by the restaurant’s own note on Resy: “Reservations for parties of 8 guests and below become available at midnight for 28-days out.” Resy’s editors gave the same rule in their opening article in November 2024 and again in their guide to the city’s toughest tables, updated September 10, 2026. The tracker AutoRes says 27 days at midnight. Both are right; they count differently.
Here is what the calendar showed. At about 11:20pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Resy’s calendar for the café ran through Saturday, November 28: 27 days after the date, or the 28th day if you count today as day one. At 12:01am on Monday, November 2, the next date had appeared: Sunday, November 29, with dining-room times for two every 15 minutes from 11am to 3:45pm and from 4pm to 5:45pm. So the working rule is: take the date you want, count back 27 days, and your date opens at 12:00am on that day, which means the late night before.
A worked example. Say you want a Saturday table during the holiday shopping rush, Saturday, December 19, 2026. Count back 27 days and you land on Sunday, November 22. The date opens at 12:00am that Sunday, so be on the Resy page late on Saturday night, November 21, with your account signed in and a card on file. If December 19 is not there at 12:01am, look at the last date the calendar does show and redo the count from it. Only one date opens each night, so missing a midnight costs you that one date, not a month. Why some Resy tables go in seconds is covered in why Resy tables vanish instantly.
How fast the month fills
Fast enough that the release is most of the game. On the night of November 1, every date I checked for two people from Monday, November 2 through Saturday, November 28 showed as sold out, and so did a party of four on Wednesday, November 18. The Resy page for November 28, a date that had opened less than 24 hours earlier, read “Sorry, we don't currently have any tables available for 2,” with breakfast, lunch and dinner all showing only the Notify button. It does not go in seconds, though. At 12:07am on November 2, seven minutes after Sunday, November 29 opened, 22 of its 24 times for two were still bookable; only 11am and 11:30am were gone. So being a few minutes late at midnight is not fatal, but by late that night the newest date was full.
After the release, the way in is a cancellation. A returned table reappears on the same Resy calendar and goes to whoever claims it first. The fee structure suggests when to look: a table cancelled more than 24 hours ahead costs nothing, and one cancelled later costs $50 a head, so people with changed plans have every reason to cancel the day before, not the day of. That is a reading of the policy, not something the café publishes. Resy’s own alert is covered in Resy Notify not working.
Party size, the card and the $50 fee
Online booking covers one to eight guests. For 15 or more, the Resy note says the booking must go through the group dining department, reached through the reservationists at lecafe.maitred@starr-restaurant.com. Neither the site nor the note says how a party of nine to 14 books, so email the same address. Every reservation needs a card, and the policy on the Resy page reads: “We require a credit card to book each reservation. A cancellation fee will not be charged if you cancel 24 hours before your reservation. If you cancel after that, you agree to be charged a fee of $50 per guest on the reservation. Any waiver of the fee is at the sole discretion of the restaurant.” For a table of four, a late change of plans costs $200. How these fees compare with other hard rooms is in Resy no-show fees explained.
Does Le Café Louis Vuitton take walk-ins?
Sometimes, at the bar. The café’s note on Resy does not mention walk-ins, but Resy’s own September 2026 guide answers “Yes” and says to “stop by early for breakfast and lunch service by grabbing one of the six seats at the bar,” adding that you can put your name on the waitlist and shop while you wait. The tracker damnlines says the same about the six bar seats. Six seats is not many, so this works for one or two people early in the day, not for a group or a set dinner time. More rooms where the door works are in NYC hard restaurants that take walk-ins.
Hours, last seatings and the easier slots
The café keeps store hours. Per its Resy note, it is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm, with the last seating at 7:15pm, and Sunday, 11am to 7pm, with the last seating at 5:45pm. There is no late dinner here: a 7:15pm table is the last of the day. The breakfast menu is listed for Monday to Saturday, 10am to 11:30am, and the all-day menu takes over at 11:30am. Sunday has no breakfast: the Resy calendar for Sunday, November 29 started at 11am. Afternoon tea runs daily from 11:30am to 5pm.
I could not measure which slots are softest, because on November 1 every date I checked was full at every service. The hours still point somewhere: Monday to Saturday gives you three services to aim for at midnight, while Sunday opens an hour later and takes its last table at 5:45pm. If you miss the release, a weekday breakfast at the bar is the next thing to try.
Le Café Louis Vuitton menu and prices
Prices below are from the menus on the café’s site dated October 29, 2026 (tea menu September 8, 2026), before tax and tip. The all-day menu calls itself luxury snacking: the croque-monsieur “Louis Paris” with white ham, Comté and black truffle is $37, warm lobster rolls $34, monogram ravioli with black truffle $36, a whole Dover sole $90 and caviar on the crisp monogram waffle $59. The Louis Vuitton Culinary Journey is $145 a person, four courses plus an amuse and mignardises, and the menu says it is “only available as a choice for the entire table.” Breakfast runs from a $20 fruit plate to $59 for the caviar waffle, with eggs Clémence-Émilie at $21 with ham or $23 with smoked salmon.
Afternoon tea comes in two tiers on the tea menu: A Sweet Escape at $100 a person (six miniature desserts each, plus a marble cake to share) and An Exquisite Journey at $135 (the same, plus five savoury bites). Time Out reported the same two prices when the tea launched in April 2026, but the Resy note lists only “$135 per person,” so check which tier you are booking. The dress code is a request, not a rule: “We politely request that you dress your best for your dining experience with us.” Laptops and professional camera equipment are not allowed in the room.
Who runs the kitchen now
Coverage from the opening names Christophe Bellanca, of Essential by Christophe, as the chef. That is out of date: Time Out in April 2026 and the café’s own site both name Executive Chef Kylian Goussot and Executive Pastry Chef Mary George (George, formerly of Daniel, was there from the start). The site says the menu is guided by the French chefs Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric, with whom both chefs spent a month in Paris and St. Tropez. If you are weighing it against the other fashion-house dining room nearby, Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar two blocks south on 55th Street, see does the Polo Bar take walk-ins, and the hardest restaurants to book in NYC guide for where both sit against the rest of the city.
Watching Le Café Louis Vuitton’s Resy calendar
Every route to a table here comes down to being on the Resy page in the moment one exists: at midnight when your date opens, or the unscheduled minute when someone gives back a Saturday lunch before the 24-hour line. SeatSwiper watches Resy, SevenRooms and OpenTable, and Le Café Louis Vuitton books on Resy, so one watch covers both the midnight release and the cancellations after it. Set your dates, party size and the times you would take, and it books the table the moment one opens or someone cancels, so you do not have to be awake at midnight. It books on your own Resy account, in your name, for your own meal, and nothing is resold or transferred. It can’t get your account banned, because it books on your own account and checks every few minutes, never nonstop. The first booking is free. After that it is a flat $5, charged only when it actually books the table, with no subscription. A cancellation watch on a date that is already full costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins even if no table ever opens; that $1 is not covered by the free first booking and is not refunded, and the same $5 applies if the watch wins you the table. The honest limits: it only works on those three platforms, it needs your Resy login to book in your name, it can lose a race for a single table, and it cannot hold one of the six bar seats or put your name on the waitlist at the door.
