Bangkok Supper Club Reservations: How to Get a Table (NYC)

George Yates · Founder, SeatSwiper · Updated October 3, 2026

How do I get a reservation at Bangkok Supper Club in NYC?Book on Resy, where Resy’s September 2026 list says tables open 28 days in advance at midnight; the restaurant does not state a window, so check how far the live calendar reaches. The more realistic door is walking in: as of October 2026, a quarter of the dining room and all 11 bar seats are held for walk-ins, and doors open at 4pm every day.

Bangkok Supper Club is at 641 Hudson St. in the West Village, close to the Meatpacking District, and it comes from the team behind Fish Cheeks. The chef is Max Wittawat, and Resy lists Jenn Saesue as the owner. The restaurant describes itself as “Modern Thai Fine Dining” inspired by “the vibrant Late Night Bangkok Food Scene,” cooked with what it calls “Thai Charcoal grill techniques.” Its own site points you at an Uni & Crab Tartlet, a Pork Jowl and a Chilean Sea Bass Chakram Curry, and the Michelin Guide singles out a scallop ceviche with watermelon chili granita. On the nights people want, it is a hard Resy table. It is also, unusually for a room on the city’s toughest-reservation lists, one of the better walk-in prospects downtown, and that is where this guide starts, because for a lot of people the door is the realistic way in.

The door is bigger here than almost anywhere

Most hard New York rooms book nearly everything and keep a few bar stools for whoever turns up. Bangkok Supper Club keeps far more back. Resy’s September 2026 list of the city’s toughest reservations puts it plainly: “They hold a quarter of the dining room and the entire 11-seat bar for walk-ins.” A 2023 Resy article put the dining room at about 70 seats. That count is three years old, so treat it as a rough size, but on those numbers the door is working with something like 17 dining room seats plus the 11 at the bar every night, before a single booked table turns over. Compare that with the rooms where the walk-in option is four stools and a long wait, which describes much of the list in NYC hard restaurants that take walk-ins. The Michelin Guide also gave the restaurant its Exceptional Cocktails Award in the 2024 New York guide, so an evening at the bar is not a consolation prize.

Be on Hudson Street at 4pm, or after 9:30pm

The hours help. As of October 2026 the restaurant posts 4pm to 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 4pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Opening at 4pm every day is earlier than most dinner rooms in the city, and it gives walk-ins a first wave that the reservation crowd is mostly not part of. Someone standing outside at 4pm on a Tuesday is competing with very few people for those held seats. A 4pm dinner is not everyone’s idea of an evening out, but it is still dinner at Bangkok Supper Club, and it frees the rest of the night.

The second window is late. Between roughly 7pm and 9pm the room is full of people who booked a month ago, and that is when the walk-in wait is longest. By 9:30pm the early tables have paid and left, and a closing time of 10:30pm on weeknights and 11pm at the weekend leaves room for one more round. Turning up then with no fixed expectations is the second-best walk-in plan, and the extra half hour on Friday and Saturday makes it more plausible at the weekend than on a Monday. Pairs do best at both ends: two people can take two bar seats the moment they free up, while a party of five is waiting on one particular table. The general theory of which hard rooms keep a real door open is in do hard restaurants take walk-ins.

How the Resy book works

Reservations are on Resy, and the restaurant’s own website, bangkoksupperclubnyc.com, does not say how far ahead the book opens. Every number you will find comes from outside. Resy’s toughest-reservations list, updated September 10, 2026, says tables open 28 days in advance at midnight. The tracker itsadate.nyc, verified July 11, 2026, gives the same 28 days at 12am Eastern. An older Resy article from October 2023 said thirty days at midnight, which suggests the window has changed at least once, and it could change again without notice. Before you plan around it, open Bangkok Supper Club on Resy, scroll the calendar forward to the last date you can book, and count back to today. If that last date is 28 days out, the figure still holds.

Twenty-eight days is exactly four weeks, so a date opens on the same weekday four weeks earlier. If the window is right, a Saturday table appears at midnight as the Saturday four weeks before begins, which in practice means being awake and on the Resy page late on a Friday night. That is a different contest from a 10am opening. Fewer people are up for it, but the ones who are set an alarm for this specific room. Have your card saved on Resy and your party size picked before 12:00am, so the only thing left to do is choose a time.

The four-seat kitchen counter

Separate from the dining room, the restaurant runs what its site calls an “intimate four-seat kitchen counter”: a tasting menu at “$150 per person, with an optional wine pairing,” described as a “2-hour experience with no substitutions and/or modifications allowed.” It is not sold through the ordinary dining room times. The site’s instruction is to “look for ‘Tasting Menu’ on Resy,” so search for that listing by name rather than scrolling the main calendar and wondering why the counter never appears. The site does not say how many counter seatings run each night. Four seats is very little inventory either way, so a pair is the natural booking, and one couple cancelling hands back half the counter at once. The no-substitutions rule matters more than the price for some groups: if anyone at your table has an allergy or a food they will not eat, the dining room is the better booking, because the counter’s terms rule out changes.

Where cancellations show up

A dining room table that someone gives back goes straight into the same Resy book and reappears on the calendar for whoever happens to be looking at that moment. Nothing is held for a list. Resy’s Notify feature will tell you when your date frees up, but it tells everyone who set the same alert at the same time, and the table goes to whoever confirms first, which is why so many people say it has never once worked for them (the mechanics are in why Resy Notify rarely works). With a 28-day window, plans made at midnight a month ago have four weeks to fall apart, and returns tend to bunch in the last day or two before a date as people firm up who is actually coming. Checking the app twice a day catches very little of that.

For context on how contested this book is: the Michelin Guide lists Bangkok Supper Club without a star or a Bib Gourmand, The Infatuation rated it 7.6 in Neha Talreja’s December 13, 2023 review, and Resy has come back to it repeatedly, with a 2023 how-to, a September 2024 piece on its dishes and an April 2026 interview with the chef. That steady attention is what keeps the weekend calendar full. For where it sits among the city’s other difficult tables, see the hardest restaurants to book in NYC.

Full disclosure: SeatSwiper is my product. Everything in this guide works without it. The last section explains where it helps and exactly what it costs.

Putting a watch on Bangkok Supper Club’s Resy book

Apart from the 4pm door, every way into Bangkok Supper Club comes down to being on the Resy page in the instant a table exists: midnight when your date opens, or the unscheduled minute a Thursday table comes back. That is a job for software rather than a person refreshing at 1am. SeatSwiper watches Resy, SevenRooms and OpenTable, and Bangkok Supper Club is on Resy, so you give it your date, party size and time range, for the dining room or for the Tasting Menu counter, set it once, and it keeps watching and books the table the moment one opens or someone cancels. It books on your own Resy account, in your name, for your own dinner, and nothing is resold or transferred. The first booking is free. After that it is a flat $5, charged only when it actually books the table, with no subscription. A cancellation watch on a date that is already full costs $1 to start, charged when the watch begins even if no table ever opens; that $1 is not covered by the free first booking and is not refunded, and the same $5 applies if the watch wins you the table. The honest limits: it only works on those three platforms, it needs your Resy login to book in your name, and it can lose a race for a single table, which at a four-seat counter is most of what there is. It cannot hold a walk-in spot or stand in line for you, and the quarter of the room and the bar kept for walk-ins never appear on Resy for it to see. Those seats are still the best reason to be on Hudson Street at 4pm.

FAQ

How far ahead do Bangkok Supper Club reservations open?

The restaurant’s own site does not say. Resy’s toughest-reservations list, updated September 10, 2026, says tables open 28 days in advance at midnight, and the tracker itsadate.nyc gave the same 28 days at 12am Eastern in July 2026. A 2023 Resy article said thirty days. Before you plan around it, open the Resy page, scroll to the last bookable date and count back to today.

Does Bangkok Supper Club take walk-ins?

Yes, and more generously than most hard NYC rooms. Resy’s September 2026 list says the restaurant holds a quarter of the dining room and the entire 11-seat bar for walk-ins. Doors open at 4pm every day, earlier than most dinner rooms, so arriving at 4pm puts you in the first wave. After 9:30pm is the other good window, since it stays open until 10:30pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

How do I book the kitchen counter tasting menu at Bangkok Supper Club?

The site describes an intimate four-seat kitchen counter at $150 per person, with an optional wine pairing, run as a two-hour experience with no substitutions or modifications. It tells guests to look for “Tasting Menu” on Resy, so search for that listing rather than the regular dining room times. With only four seats, a pair is the natural booking, and anyone with an allergy is better off in the dining room.

Can SeatSwiper get me a table at Bangkok Supper Club?

It can watch Bangkok Supper Club’s Resy book, for the dining room or the Tasting Menu counter, and book the table the moment one opens or someone cancels, on your own Resy account and in your name. It cannot hold a walk-in spot, and the seats kept for walk-ins, including the 11-seat bar, never appear on Resy. It can also lose a race for a single table, especially at a four-seat counter.
